MAKING OBJECTIONS & COMMENTS

Since GBC introduced a new website layout in 2010, the process of commenting on/objecting to applications has also changed and not for the better. 

One of the less helpful changes is that you NO LONGER get an acknowledgement to anything you post online - this used to be automated so at least you had a record/reference number for your e-mail, but not any longer. 

So is it really worth ploughing through the whole process just to send an e-mail. It is BUT only if you wish to look at the entire Application Paperwork.

THE EASY WAY

The simplest thing to do is to send your comments/objections to: planningenquiries@guildford.gov.uk

THE HARD WAY - also the route to view all documents

Step by Step, the process is:

Go to GBC website - www.guildford.gov.uk

@ the Services menu, click on "Environment & Planning"

@ the Environment & Planning page click on "Planning"

@ Planning Page, click on "Application Search & View - Planning"

@ this page, look to the right & you'll see the "Offsite Links" box, then underneath this, click on "Planning Application Search" 

You are now at the "Planning Applications & Appeals Search" page. Here you can choose to view the application details by choosing to search by the Planning Application reference number or by its address.

@ the Consultation page you can post your comments/objections online or revert back to "The Easy Way" above.
